The Riddler, probably. He's the guy I tried to draw first and foremost before I got into my anatomy studies ^.^ Now I'm mainly drawing Psycho-Pirate because you can get a real feel for his 'muscular' structure through all of that latex

Black and whites -graphite pencils and Letraset markers. I'm a bit rubbish at colours.

Basic template of the head (an egg shape), then an oval or a square for the body (depending on side/forward angle), then a line for the spine, another square/circle for the hips, legs...this all usually gets changed when I add in features, but hey...xD

Faces. I suck at faces that aren't literally two dots for eyes and a bracket for a mouth.

The one I did yesterday whilst watching The Mummy - pencil sketch of Psycho Pirate and Pariah without using any picture references. Then I made the mistake of trying to colour it XD Ahhh. But I'm getting better at putting people together. :3

▶ What techniques do you use when you want to improve in drawing?

I have several anatomy books that I browse through when I'm confused on a particular aspect, then I attempt to recreate that aspect without looking at how it's supposed to be. Hands are the worse - you'd think they'd be the easiest! But this, and reading comics (DC comic heroes are really good to study from because most of them don't know the meaning of things that aren't lycra ) and watching old cartoons - the animation tends to be slower and jerkier so you can really get a feel for the movements.

I stole it from Denji (mwahaha and I'm not giving it baaack), and I really look up to her artwork. She was the person who originally got me interested in manga and drawing at school ^.^ I'm glad I decided to pursue it, although my manga love has turned into DC love. :3

Graphite pencils for sketching. And I'm getting better at outlining pictures with Steadler 0.3 and 0.1 markers.

At the moment, I think it's utterly awful XD And that's the truth. I still have a long way to go before I think it's any good, but I know that I have the ability and the determination to get there. Which I will, one day.

The fact that I can strive at it for hours and it still looks shite XD Nah, not really. Um. I like that I haven't defined my own style yet, which leaves a lot open for me to pursue.

Chewing the end of my pencil, watching telly for a few moments just to take a small break, reading a comic story (usually from Showcase) when I get frustrated so that I get a better feel for anatomy.

I try to do one thing a day, but it's been pretty busy at the moment.

Show what I'm doing to my mum, who's a great artist (but won't admit it) and see what she has to say about what's going wrong. Then I leave it alone for a few hours, do something else, and come back to it.

TV. For some reason listening just to music really gets on my wick. o.O

Ahaha .__. Um. I'm not sure, actually. I definitely look up to Bruce Timm and Ty Templeton because I love the art-deco'ness of their art and would love to draw like them one day...they definitely influenced my jaw lines. Other than that I'm trying to learn about poses from George Perez.
